Poland examines the plausibility of developing counter-UAV system

On March 1st, The Polish Armament Inspectorate published a paper that starts a technical dialogue. This dialogue is with potential suppliers of a system to detect and counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Due to the program code-name Nida (river in southern Poland), the system is expected to itself use UAVs to counter hostile ones from the air.

This dialogue is expected to determine whether the predefined requirements can be met, determine whether Polish contractors have the ability to deliver such a system, define a time-frame to complete the project, and obtain information that could be used to establish the final technical requirements for the system.
